Schiit Asgard 2 Class A, Zero Feedback headphone amp for sale. This was my daily driver for a long time, but since adding a Schiit Kara this amp has become redundant. Other than a few scratches here and there (see photos), this unit looks great. 100% functional. I had it standing on its side, but I also purchased more rubber feet in case I ever wanted to lay it flat. Extra rubber feet will be included along with the power cord.If you want my review, and you probably don't, I think this is a wonderful amp (at least for the headphones I own: HD-6XX and Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro MK1, both high impedance). While keeping in mind that solid state amps tend to sound very clean and similar in general, to me this amp is A) slightly warm B) excellent with transients and C) slightly recessed in the top end frequencies. As a result, it is very non-fatiguing, and I can happily listen for hours. Give it about 20-30 minutes to warm up and it will sound the best in my experience.A note on returns: I am willing to accepts returns for any reason for 7 days. That is in line with the Reverb default policy. However, you the buyer will be responsible for shipping costs in both directions upon return and will be refunded the purchase amount less the original shipping fee and payment processing fee (~3.5%). I just want to make this clear, as I feel the site could do a better job communicating that the shipper and payment processor are third parties that must be paid regardless.
This is a fair ask and slightly on the strong side of the market, not a steal. At US$135, it sits just under the US$140 median and right at the US$135 25th percentile, so it’s priced in the lower half of recent comps without being a giveaway.
That makes it a sensible buy for anyone wanting a capable, respected desktop amp without paying new-stock money. The appeal is straightforward: solid build, plenty of drive for common headphones, and a long-standing reputation for clean, punchy sound. At this level, condition matters most, so if it’s clean and working properly, this is the kind of used listing that makes sense to jump on.
