A few normal wear and tear scratches but is a very nice looking unit. The color display with big letters are amazing. The DAC and streamer are EXCELLENT and the colored screen just makes it better! The SOUND is what can't be beat. Your sound will open up and come alive with this unit!! I tried a universal remote but they're all junk so I paid $210 after taxes and shipping and processing fee for the remote. Also comes with the power cord. Missing WiFi antennas but are like $5 each online. This receiver supports DIRAC LIVE but you'll need a calibration mic which again come be acquired online. This 7 channel Class AB receiver has the outputs to handle 7.2.4 channels of sound! I cannot stress again how good this receiver sounds!
Timing does matter here: this is an AVR10, the entry model in Arcam’s later AVR line that replaced the older AVR390, so you’re buying into a still-respected but no-longer-current generation. At US$800, it’s above the US$670 75th percentile of your recent comparable listings, so this reads as ambitious rather than a bargain, though the included factory remote does add some value.
That said, the AVR10 is well liked for its clean, musical Class AB sound and strong home-theater chops, especially if you want flexible 7.1.4 processing and Dirac-capable performance in one box. For a clean example with the remote and a seller who can confirm full functionality, it’s a solid piece of kit; I’d just want proof it boots reliably, every channel works, and firmware/input behavior is sorted before paying top-of-market money.
