That said, the TA-E1000ESD is a legitimately respected Sony flagship: well built, feature-rich, and admired for its polished, slightly refined presentation plus useful phono and digital processing flexibility. A serviced, recapped unit with remote and “excellent” cosmetics does add real value, especially if you want a clean example that’s ready to enjoy; the only real question is whether that premium is justified versus the many decent units that change hands much lower.
