At US$850, this is a touch firm against the recent used market for the 3012A: a clean serviced example has shown around US$663, with a higher-end dealer ask at US$995, so this sits above the middle but not in crazy territory. For a desirable vintage Tandberg, I’d call it fair only if the condition is genuinely strong and the amplifier is ready to play; otherwise it’s a bit ambitious.
The reason to buy is the sound and the pedigree: these are respected 100W integrateds with a refined, open presentation, strong bass control, and a serious phono stage, and they’re not common enough that nice examples linger. If it’s original, quiet, and has documented service, that adds real value. The main caveat is age: with a unit like this, proof of proper restoration matters more than cosmetics, because a vintage DC-coupled amp can be costly if it needs work.
