Chord Electronics TT2 Hugo & M Scaler Headphone Amplifier (with DAC) Letting go of my Chord Electronics desk set up, consisting of the Hugo TT2 DAC & Headphone amplifier with its M Scaler. Not much needs to be said about how great the set up is. It has a beautiful sound profile that also drives my Benchmark AHB2 power amp + Harbeth speakers as part of my desk set up. Selling due to need for downgrade as well as needing to move. Not keen on splitting the TT2 or M Scaler at this stage, unless there is interest for both. Unfortunately the box and remote control has been misplaced. However
The TT2 is a serious desktop DAC/amp, but A$8,750 is firmly above the used market. Recent used asks sit around A$5,576 to about A$6,200 at the higher end, so this listing is ambitious rather than fair value.
What makes it worth chasing is the combination of reference-level DAC performance, very strong headphone drive, and true preamp duties in one chassis, which is why it stays popular with both headphone and speaker-chain users. If the unit is original-owner, clean, and includes the remote, power supply, and box, that helps, but at this asking price I’d want exceptional condition and a very complete package before considering it.
