That said, the AVR 138 is a solid little 5.1-era Harman/Kardon: decent current delivery, simple setup, and a pleasant, muscular sound for basic home cinema or secondary-system duty. In excellent shape, with the original remote and no channel-drop or knob issues, it can still be a worthwhile buy for someone who wants a straightforward, well-built older AVR. At this price, I’d want proof it’s fully functional and complete.
