Offered is „MCD 500“ by McIntosh as second-hand device from the category „Digital Sources (CD/DVD/Streamer...)“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 3322031232 ends on 18.10.2026 at 21:16 o'clock.
New, this class of McIntosh CD player was a serious investment, and at €2,900 this asking price lands just under the €2,931 25th percentile of recent EUR comps, so it reads as a strong buy rather than a stretch. It is below the €2,980 median and well inside the normal used band, which is exactly where a clean example should be if the seller wants it to move.
The appeal here is straightforward: the MCD500 is a respected reference-grade disc player with the smooth, weighty presentation McIntosh fans chase, plus excellent build quality and long-term desirability. If the unit is truly in good condition, this is the kind of listing that makes sense for someone who still values CD playback and wants a premium machine without paying peak-market money.
