Here I have a pair of Vintage KEF CS7 kit speakers with correct professionally made enclosures of high quality. Crossovers are original factory KEF as pictured. All period correct design, and sound impressive with great bass, and detail. Crossovers, and wiring checked, and all still in tolerance....
Condition unknown, so this sits in the “inspect carefully” zone, but A$580 looks broadly fair rather than cheap for a KEF C7/CS7-class floorstander. Recent used asking prices I could verify for KEF C7s cluster around roughly A$300–A$700, with some outliers higher, so this is near the middle of the pack rather than a standout bargain.
That said, it’s a worthwhile buy if the cabinets are clean and all drivers are original and healthy, because these KEFs are well-liked for their balanced mids, open treble, and surprisingly solid bass for the size. At this age, I’d mainly confirm veneer/cabinet integrity, driver surrounds, and whether any grilles or spikes are included; if it’s a tidy pair with no issues, A$580 is a sensible enthusiast price.
