Is €90 the right buy for a clean HomePod mini? Against 58 recent EU comparables, it lands a bit above the €79 median and just over the €89 upper quartile, so this is slightly ambitious, not a bargain.
That said, it’s still a solid little smart speaker if you want Apple ecosystem convenience, surprisingly full sound for its size, and easy multi-room pairing. “Excellent” condition helps, especially if it includes the power cable and has been lightly used, but I’d still try to nudge the price a little closer to the high-€70s or low-€80s to make it feel fully in line with the market.

Apple Inc. traces its origins to April 1, 1976, when Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, along with Ronald Wayne, founded the company in the Jobs family garage in Cupertino, California. What began as a modest venture to build personal computers evolved into a tech powerhouse, with early forays into audio via the 2001 launch of iTunes and the iconic iPod portable music player.
In the hi-fi realm, Apple focuses on integrated consumer audio solutions rather than traditional separates like amplifiers, turntables, or DACs. The company is renowned for wireless speakers such as the short-lived iPod Hi-Fi (2006-2007) and the more advanced HomePod series, alongside premium headphones including AirPods and AirPods Max. These products emphasize seamless ecosystem integration, portability, and digital streaming over analog purism.
Apple holds a dominant position in the premium consumer audio market, blending high-end aspirations with mass-market accessibility. While not a staple among traditional hi-fi purists—who often critique its closed ecosystem and past efforts like the iPod Hi-Fi as underwhelming—its products command loyalty for sonic refinement, computational audio processing, and design excellence, positioning it as a mid-to-high-tier contender for savvy buyers prioritizing convenience over boutique esoterica.
