Seller's Description

--------------------------------------------- OBS! Dom går inte att köra på 240 V. -----------------------------------------

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

A new Behringer A500 was a roughly kr2,000-level buy when current, so an asking price of kr1, if that’s truly the full price, is absurdly cheap and well below even the kr317 25th percentile from your comparable SEK listings. That’s the kind of number that usually means the seller wants it gone fast rather than trying to maximize return.

The A500 is a straightforward, workmanlike power amp with plenty of clean output, balanced and unbalanced inputs, and enough current to make a good partner for passive speakers, subs, or an active crossover setup. At this price, the upside is all in getting a serious amount of usable amplification for almost nothing; just verify both channels play cleanly, the trim pots and input/output sockets are intact, and the amp doesn’t run unusually hot.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Behringer

Behringer traces its roots to January 25, 1989, when Uli Behringer founded the company in Willich, Germany. A self-taught electronics enthusiast who built his first synthesizer at age 16, Uli drew inspiration from his father's church organ projects and his own struggles as a pianist and sound engineer. Unable to afford professional studio gear, he began crafting affordable alternatives for himself and friends, rapidly scaling from a home workshop into a full production facility. This DIY heritage underscores Behringer's mission to democratize high-quality audio tools.

The brand excels in a vast array of pro-audio and hi-fi categories, including mixers, compressors, amplifiers, powered speakers, DJ controllers, synthesizers, and signal processors. Early hits like the 1990 MDX8000 Combinator and 1996 EURODESK MX8000 mixer paved the way for expansions into guitar pedals, studio monitors, and boutique recreations of vintage synths. Manufacturing shifted to China in the 1990s, enabling massive scale while maintaining patented innovations.

Behringer occupies the entry-to-mid-tier market, renowned for its "double the features, half the price" ethos that delivers solid performance to hobbyists, live sound pros, and budget-conscious studios. While praised for value and reliability in live and project-studio settings, it faces criticism for build quality shortcuts compared to high-end marques, positioning it as a pragmatic choice for discerning buyers prioritizing accessibility over audiophile prestige.
