On the current AUD comps, A$3,500 sits above the A$3,354 75th percentile and is a touch ambitious rather than outright wild. It’s not far enough over the market to dismiss, but it’s asking top-of-range money for a used pair, so I’d want the condition and provenance to justify it.
That said, this is a well-loved monitor with a big reputation for natural midrange tone, easy long-term listening, and excellent vocal and small-ensemble realism. If the cabinet work is clean, the drivers are original, and it comes with stands, grilles, or boxes, there’s real value here for someone who wants a mature, non-fatiguing speaker and can negotiate a little off the ask.
