Seller's Description

Naim Audio Nait 2 Integrated Amplifier (Solid State) Naim Nait 2 chrome bumper in good working order and sounding beautiful. If you haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy one of these classics here’s your chance.    The amp is in very good condition and everything works as it should, but the LED panel is out. Contacted Naim and they said likely ‘dry joints’ on the LED panel. Easy fix for those with the know how.   Regardless, the amp sounds amazing.    Happy to audition. And can post.  Condition: Very Good Payment Method: Cash, PayID Region/State: (NSW) New South Wales/Australia By Crampoli 0 Co

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

This A$1,800 asking price is ambitious, sitting well above the 75th percentile of A$1,539 and the median of A$1,503 for recent AUD listings of the Naim Nait 2. While the unit is listed in very good condition, you are paying roughly A$300 over the typical market median, which limits the upside unless the seller includes rare extras or the amplifier is a pristine, original-owner example.

The Nait 2 remains a cult favorite for its punchy, musical delivery and iconic Naim sound, offering a timeless analog charm that still competes with modern budget amps. If this listing includes the original power supply, remote, or manuals, the extra cost becomes more justifiable given the model’s growing scarcity and rising collector demand. Without those extras, however, it’s a fair but not compelling deal at this price point.

About Naim Audio

Naim Audio, a cornerstone of British hi-fi excellence, traces its origins to 1973 when Julian Vereker, a self-taught engineer, racing driver, and music enthusiast, formally incorporated the company in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Vereker's journey began earlier, in 1969, experimenting with tape recording and sound-to-light boxes before designing his first power amplifier in 1971. Amid the British hi-fi industry's recession, he secured a pivotal contract with Capital Radio, blending entrepreneurial grit with a passion for authentic sound reproduction that challenged conventional wisdom.

The brand specializes in premium integrated amplifiers, power amplifiers, preamplifiers, digital streamers, DACs, and compact music systems, often featuring built-in amplification for streamlined setups. While not delving into speakers—beyond a historical foray—or headphones and turntables, Naim emphasizes modular, upgradable components that prioritize pace, rhythm, and timing (PRaT), a signature sonic philosophy rooted in the "source first" approach alongside contemporaries like Linn.

Naim holds a commanding position in the high-end market, revered by discerning audiophiles for its handmade, innovative systems that deliver emotional musical engagement over mere specifications. Now part of VerVent Audio Group following a 2011 merger with Focal, it exports to over 45 countries, sustaining a cult following for resilient, influential designs that transcend economic cycles.
