This is a late-80s/early-90s deck, so timing matters mainly as a restoration buyer: a functioning example is still desirable, but a parts-only unit is only worth it if you want the shell, knobs, or a repair project. At €199, it sits right on the market median of €199 and within the recent €188 to €209 band, so the ask is fair rather than a bargain.
The RS-B765 is well regarded for its three-head, quartz direct-drive design and generally clean, stable sound when healthy. The big upside is that it’s a serious vintage Technics deck with real playback/recording credibility, but for a for-parts listing the key question is whether the transport, capstan drive, and electronics can be revived without major work.
