At €180, it sits around the middle of the recent used spread I’d expect for this model in Europe, roughly €120-€220, so that’s a fair ask rather than a steal.
What makes it attractive is the TA-2550’s serious spec sheet: three heads, Dolby B/C, HX Pro, metal tape support, and a reputation as one of Onkyo’s better mid/high-tier decks. If it’s mechanically healthy, it’s a genuinely nice buy for someone who wants a capable, listenable cassette deck rather than a plastic supermarket unit. The only real caveat is age-related service history: belts, pinch rollers, transport calibration, and head wear matter a lot here, so at €180 I’d want proof it’s been checked or plays/records cleanly.
