Our Thoughts RADAR AI

New pairs of this model sit well above A$150, so this asking price lands at the upper end of sensible used territory rather than a bargain. Against the recent AUD comps, it’s above the median A$127 and closer to the 75th percentile A$164, so I’d call it fair-to-ambitious unless the condition and accessories are especially strong.

That said, these are popular for good reason: excellent active noise cancelling, very strong call quality, and the most complete “do-it-all” true wireless tuning in Apple’s line. At A$150, the appeal is highest if the battery health is good, the case is original, and both eartips and charging cable are included; without that, the price loses some shine.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Apple

Apple Inc. traces its origins to April 1, 1976, when Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, along with Ronald Wayne, founded the company in the Jobs family garage in Cupertino, California. What began as a modest venture to build personal computers evolved into a tech powerhouse, with early forays into audio via the 2001 launch of iTunes and the iconic iPod portable music player.

In the hi-fi realm, Apple focuses on integrated consumer audio solutions rather than traditional separates like amplifiers, turntables, or DACs. The company is renowned for wireless speakers such as the short-lived iPod Hi-Fi (2006-2007) and the more advanced HomePod series, alongside premium headphones including AirPods and AirPods Max. These products emphasize seamless ecosystem integration, portability, and digital streaming over analog purism.

Apple holds a dominant position in the premium consumer audio market, blending high-end aspirations with mass-market accessibility. While not a staple among traditional hi-fi purists—who often critique its closed ecosystem and past efforts like the iPod Hi-Fi as underwhelming—its products command loyalty for sonic refinement, computational audio processing, and design excellence, positioning it as a mid-to-high-tier contender for savvy buyers prioritizing convenience over boutique esoterica.
