The RP-5000 MK4 takes Reloop's legacy of iconic turntables to a new level. This high-torque turntable combines the uncompromisingly optimised legacy features known and loved with fresh innovations, making the RP-5000 MK4 a reliable and precise tool for discerning DJs.

With its newly developed direct drive motor and an impressive club-standard torque of 2.5 kg/cm, as well as its tried-and-true yet slightly enhanced layout, the RP-5000 MK4 offers a user experience that feels instantly familiar, so there's virtually no learning curve. The DJ turntable's motor characteristics are finely calibrated to minimise wow and flutter, delivering an exceptionally smooth and precise performance.

The Reloop RP-5000 MK4's innovations and improvements truly stand out in everyday use. Its solid build and revamped chassis, featuring increased damping and better vibration-reducing feet, ensure that nothing can disturb the RP-5000 MK4 DJ turntable. The recessed connection terminal enables seamless integration into any setup, even in battle mode. A gold-plated phono output and IEC connector with detachable cable provide maximum cabling flexibility while also reducing potential sources of error. The newly developed internal switching power supply also reduces unwanted interference, enhancing sound reproduction to its fullest potential.

The RP-5000 MK4 boasts a precision-manufactured, die-cast aluminium platter, a statically balanced, S-shaped tonearm equipped with hydraulic lift, anti-skating and a universal connection designed for cartridge systems (SME). DJs can enjoy maximum versatility with three speeds (33 ⅓, 45 and 78 rpm), an adjustable pitch range (±8%, ±16% or ±50%), a smooth clickless pitch fader and a reverse switch, making this the ideal setup for home use, club sets or advanced scratch routines. The pitch reset button and clearly marked tempo scale ensure DJs always stay in sync with the beat, even in the intensity of a club showdown, allowing them to react swiftly. The positioning of each button has been carefully chosen with ergonomic principles in mind for optimal workflow and sufficient clearance from the tonearm – DJs know why!

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

This is a buyer’s market for this category, and US$500 lands above the US$222 median and even above the US$600 75th percentile only if you’re comparing to truly premium, fully dressed packages; as listed, it reads ambitious for a single unit with no clear condition detail. Against the recent comp set, that makes it a stretch unless the included setup and cosmetic state are exceptional.

That said, this model’s appeal is straightforward: high-torque direct-drive performance, solid DJ-grade build, and dependable speed stability make it a practical, roadworthy table that enthusiasts buy for use, not just nostalgia. If the deck is clean, mechanically sound, and includes the right accessories, there’s real upside here; if not, the price leaves little room for unknowns, so condition and completeness matter a lot at this level.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Reloop

Reloop emerged in 1996 from Germany, founded by Robert Lauterwein and a team of music technology experts amid the rising DJ culture. The brand's early focus centered on turntables that quickly gained traction in the club scene, marking its entry into professional audio with products designed by DJs for DJs. This heritage of innovation has sustained Reloop for over two decades, evolving from niche DJ gear to a broader audio presence.

The company specializes in DJ and studio equipment, including controllers, turntables, and mixers, all developed in Germany and assembled by Asian partners. Reloop has expanded into hi-fi with its TURN series and models like the RP7, targeting vinyl enthusiasts and audio purists who demand precision engineering and high-fidelity sound. While not delving into amplifiers, speakers, DACs, headphones, or cables, its turntable lineup stands out for direct-drive performance and compatibility with pro cartridges from partners like Ortofon.

Reloop holds a solid mid-tier position in the DJ and entry-level hi-fi markets, prized for reliable, performance-driven gear that balances affordability with pro-grade features. It appeals to working DJs and vinyl revivalists rather than high-end audiophiles or vintage collectors, backed by a reputation for practical innovation over boutique exclusivity.
