Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Should you grab this OLED77CSPSA at A$3,100, or is it just another fair listing? This price is a strong deal, sitting well below the typical used market range of A$3,250 to A$3,800 for this 77-inch 2022 model, and even undercutting a recent private sale listing of A$3,250. It lands near the 25th percentile of current used values, making it a genuine bargain for a well-loved panel.

The OLED77CSPSA is prized for its flawless Ultra HD picture, smooth 120Hz motion handling, and vibrant self-lit OLED pixels that deliver deep blacks and punchy color. As a discontinued model now hard to find in new condition, this listing offers excellent timing for an enthusiast seeking high-end performance without the latest model markup. With no noted caveats and a price that rewards the buyer, this is a clear buying opportunity for anyone upgrading their home theater.

About LG Electronics

LG Electronics traces its roots to 1958, when Koo In-hwoi founded GoldStar Co., Ltd. in South Korea amid the nation's post-Korean War reconstruction. As one of the country's first electronics manufacturers, GoldStar pioneered domestic production of radios, televisions, refrigerators, and fans, rapidly scaling to produce over a million TVs annually by the mid-1970s. The brand evolved through a 1995 merger with Lucky Chemical—originating from Koo's 1947 venture—adopting the LG name, a fusion of "Lucky" and "GoldStar," to reflect its broadened industrial legacy.

In hi-fi and audio, LG focuses on mainstream consumer categories rather than specialist gear like amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables. It excels in soundbars, wireless multi-room speakers, portable Bluetooth systems, and high-end OLED TV-integrated audio solutions, often featuring Dolby Atmos and AI-enhanced processing for immersive home theater experiences.

LG holds a commanding mid-tier position in the global market as the second-largest electronics manufacturer, prioritizing innovative, value-driven products over high-end audiophile exclusivity. Its reputation blends reliability and cutting-edge features with mass appeal, making it a go-to for knowledgeable buyers seeking accessible performance without boutique premiums.
