Sansui CA-3000 Stereo Vintage Preamplifier Serviced (Read Description)IMPORTANT: For sale is the Sansui CA-3000 top-of-the-line preamplifier. This preamplifier can be paired with the Sansui BA-3000 or BA-5000 power amplifiers.Cosmetically, this unit has some scratches and stains. The previous owner had the burgundy-colored covers refinished, achieving a result very similar to the original finish. The rear panel was also painted, causing some of the original lettering to disappear. Small printed labels were applied to identify the connections.The preamplifier recently received electronic servicing using high-quality components. The Phono stage was tested and is working properly. Some of the front-panel knobs have stains and scratches. The side sections of the front panel were also repainted. The volume control knob has been replaced with a generic knob and is not the original part. The original silk-screening on the top cover was reproduced using new printed graphics, achieving a result similar to the original appearance.One additional detail: when the volume is turned all the way down to 0, the VU meters show some movement. This does not affect the sound or operation of the preamplifier, but it is a noticeable visual detail.
