This extremely rare 2 (two) PSU version is highly collectable and the “Unicorn” of NVA/Richard Dunn products. As with all of NVA Perspex products it picks up dust like mad. NOTE this is a highend unit for Moving Coil cartridges only, it is not suitable for Moving Magnet cartridges.rnThe P2 retails at £1,250.00 and the extra PSU when/or available would be £599.00 giving a total retail of £1,849.00 I think this is right, I can’t find the exact price of the mythical extra PSU.rnrnHandmade in Great Britain, suitable for use with all Moving Coil (MC) type cartridges. At £400, this sits essentially right on the used market median of £404, so it reads as fair pricing rather than a bargain or an ambitious ask. It is also well inside the recent comparable range, between the £183 25th percentile and £587 75th percentile, which is exactly where a sensible used listing should land.
That makes it a decent buy if you want a respected phono stage without paying top-end money. NVA phono gear is generally valued for a musical, low-noise presentation and strong analogue timing, so the upside here is getting into a well-regarded piece at a sane level. With condition listed as unknown, the main thing is to confirm it’s complete, powers up properly, and has no hum, channel imbalance, or modification surprises before committing.

NVA, or Nene Valley Audio, emerged from Britain's vibrant hi-fi scene as a specialist amplifier manufacturer founded in 1982 by acclaimed electronics designer Richard Dunn. Based in the UK, the brand embodies the cottage-industry spirit of that era, with Dunn's innovative vision driving its early success until his passing in 2019. Now under Hi-fi Subjectivist Audio Ltd., NVA upholds this heritage through meticulous, handmade production that prioritizes sonic purity over ostentation.
The company's product focus centers on minimalist amplifiers and speakers, including standout pre-power combinations like the P50 preamplifier and S80 power amp. These designs eschew unnecessary frills, emphasizing novel engineering tailored for discerning listeners who value uncolored sound reproduction. While not venturing into turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables, NVA's amplifiers deliver exceptional clarity and dynamics in compact, efficient packages.
Positioned as a niche boutique player in the high-end market, NVA appeals to purists seeking value-driven excellence rather than mainstream flash. Its handmade UK craftsmanship and quirky, sound-first ethos have earned praise as one of audio's best-kept bargains, thriving among knowledgeable buyers who prioritize musical engagement over hype.
