Alan Eaton 45 SET Monoblock Amplifiers – Tamura Transformers – Vintage TubesFor sale is a beautiful pair of Alan Eaton 45 single-ended triode monoblock amplifiers, hand-built using a minimalist point-to-point circuit and featuring highly regarded Tamura output transformers.These produce approximately 1.5 watts per channel and are designed for efficient loudspeakers. With the right speakers, there is something genuinely special about a good 45 SET: exceptional immediacy, tonal purity, harmonic texture, dimensionality, and remarkably natural reproduction of voices and acoustic instruments.Each monoblock uses a 45 output tube, 6SN7 driver and 6AX5 rectifier, with individual level controls and adjustable hum controls.Condition: 8/10. Overall very attractive and present well, with some minor chassis imperfections consistent with age and use. One of the rear hum-adjustment knobs/shafts is minimally bent, but remains fully usable and does not affect operation. Please review the detailed photos for cosmetic condition.The vintage tubes pictured are included.I also have a pair of EML 45 tubes that are an excellent match for these amplifiers.
