Unless this example is exceptionally original, recently serviced, and cosmetically outstanding, it looks rich for a 4240-class receiver.
That said, the 4240 is a desirable vintage Marantz with warm, listenable sound and the Quadradial/quad-era appeal that collectors like. Partial recap and beautiful cosmetics are real value-adds if the work was done competently, but at this level a buyer should want proof of service, stable operation on all channels, and a clean tuner and controls before paying up.
