This looks like a seller’s market for this category, but this asking price sits right on the market median at £5,087, so it reads as fair rather than cheap or stretched. It is not a bargain, but it is also not ambitious given the small sample of recent UK comparables: it lands exactly where a serious buyer would expect a clean pair to be priced.
These are respected high-end monoblocks, and the appeal is straightforward: strong current delivery, scale, grip, and a properly resolved presentation that suits revealing systems. The upside here is mainly in condition and provenance — if the pair is tidy, well matched, and has been cared for, that supports confidence. At this price, a buyer should mainly confirm service history, originality, and that both channels are performing evenly.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Trigon Audio, officially Trigon Elektronik GmbH, emerged in September 1996 from Germany, embodying a steadfast commitment to crafting high-end hi-fi components that prioritize authentic music reproduction over unattainable luxury. Rooted in the nation's engineering precision, the brand has upheld its founding ethos of developing and manufacturing audiophile-grade electronics in-house, blending innovative technology with traditional craftsmanship ever since its inception.
The company focuses primarily on amplification and phono stages, including power amplifiers, preamplifiers, and specialized phono preamps like the acclaimed Vanguard II paired with its Volcano II battery power supply. Their minimalist designs emphasize state-of-the-art electronics and premium materials, delivering powerful, detailed sound reproduction tailored for vinyl enthusiasts and discerning listeners who demand uncolored fidelity.
Positioned firmly in the high-end market, Trigon enjoys a reputation for exceptional sonic performance and durability among knowledgeable audiophiles. Products like the Chronolog, Dialog, and Monolog exemplify their boutique appeal, earning praise for superior sound quality in reviews and shows, while remaining accessible within the premium segment rather than ultra-esoteric territory.
