At €2,200, this is well above the recent used market for a SL-1200MK2: it sits far over the €1,217 75th percentile and more than double the €981 median, so the asking price is ambitious rather than a bargain. If the goal is pure value, there’s no easy way to call this competitive unless the listing includes truly exceptional extras or provenance.
That said, the MK2 is still one of the most respected direct-drive decks ever made: rock-solid speed, excellent torque, rugged build, and a huge support ecosystem for parts and service. For a clean example, the appeal is reliability and long-term ownership, but at this level I’d want proof of a careful history, fully working pitch and controls, and any meaningful upgrades or original accessories to justify the premium.
