Tech-Master Corp. (Brooklyn, NY) was highly revered for premium 1950s tube electronics, making this particular "High Fidelity" badged solid-state model a very scarce transition-era piece.It features a unique, gorgeous gold anodized wrap-around faceplate, a beautiful cursive chrome logo script badge, and a classic 5-knob layout (Selector, Volume, Bass, Treble, Equalizer). This unit seems retains its original factory control knobs, and the underlying potentiometer shafts turn completely free and smooth.PLEASE READ IMPORTANT CONDITION & SPEC DETAILS BEFORE BIDDING:* UNTESTED / AS-IS: This unit is sold strictly FOR PARTS OR REPAIR as an untested, unserviced estate find. I have not hooked a power source to it, applied voltage, or run audio through it.* Model Unconfirmed: Exact model number is unknown. The internal circuit features early point-to-point hand-wiring and primitive germanium transistors. It has no internal power transformer; it was factory-designed to run on battery voltage.* Cosmetics: The gold faceplate is in really good cosmetic condition ( small minor blemish) with crisp text and bright color. The outer black cabinet casing is fully intact.* Internals: Completely un-gutted. The original vintage wax/paper-in-oil capacitors are still in place. The original dead battery has been removed from the internal clamp to ensure a clean, acid-free chassis environment.Note for restorers: As with all 70-year-old electronics, a standard capacitor replacement (recap) will be required by the buyer before trying to power this up to safely protect the early vintage germanium transistors.Shipping & Terms:Will be packed securely with plenty of bubble wrap to ensure safe transit.
