Timing matters here because the 702 S2 is a well-liked older generation, but it still lands in that sweet spot where the newer model doesn’t automatically make it obsolete. At €2,998, this is a touch above the €2,986 75th percentile and clearly above the €2,739 median, so it reads as ambitious rather than a bargain.
That said, it’s still a genuinely respected floorstander: clean, refined, and capable of real scale and bass authority when placed and driven well. Excellent condition helps, and if the finish, driver surrounds, and original accessories are all present, the premium is easier to justify. I’d view it as a buy only if you specifically want this model and the cosmetics are truly strong; otherwise there are better-value listings below this level.
