The PMA-425R is a solid, no-nonsense Denon integrated that still has enough reputation to attract buyers, but this £75 ask is basically right on top of the current used market. With recent comparable GBP listings centered at £74 and running from £74 to £75, I’d call it fair rather than a bargain.
That makes it a sensible buy if the unit is clean and fully working. These Denons are liked for their straightforward, musical presentation, useful phono stage, and generally dependable build for a late-’90s amp, so a good-condition example can still be a very worthwhile daily driver. At this price, the main thing to confirm is basic health: no crackly pots, no relay issues, and no channel imbalance.
