This is an older LP-6 generation, not the later 2nd Wave version, so the timing only matters if you specifically want the revised model; otherwise it’s still a solid buy at this level. At €180, it lands well below the €207 25th percentile and comfortably under the €236 median, so this reads as a strong deal rather than just a fair one.
That makes sense for a monitor that’s long been respected for neutral tonality, good imaging, and easy nearfield placement; it’s the kind of speaker that gives a lot of honest performance for the money. For a clean pair in excellent condition, the upside is real here, especially if the original boxes, foam, or any included cables are present, so this is one of those listings worth moving on quickly if the setup fits.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Kali Audio is a California-based pro-audio brand founded in January 2018 by a group of former JBL professionals, including co-founder and president John Melikyan. The company is based in Southern California and positions itself as an engineering-led manufacturer rather than a heritage hi-fi house.
Its core focus is loudspeakers, especially studio monitors and related professional playback products. Kali is best known for nearfield monitors such as its LP-series and other monitor lines, with product naming tied to California towns and cities. It is not known for turntables, DACs, headphones, cables, or traditional consumer hi-fi electronics.
In market terms, Kali Audio sits in the pro-audio / project-studio segment: value-conscious, performance-driven, and technically credible. It is generally viewed as a mid-tier to upper-value brand rather than a luxury or vintage-collector name, with a reputation for delivering strong measured performance and practical features at accessible prices.
