Against the recent used market, €375 is firmly above the typical band for this model: it sits well past the €173 75th percentile and nearly 3x the €131 median. That makes this an ambitious ask rather than a fair-market buy, even allowing for an excellent-condition example.
The upside is that this line is liked for easy portability, simple Bluetooth use, and a compact, rounded sound that still holds up for casual listening. If the seller includes the charger, case, and original box, and the battery is genuinely strong, it becomes more justifiable—but at €375, the premium needs to buy exceptional cosmetics, full completeness, and confidence in long-term battery health.

Bose Corporation traces its roots to 1964, when MIT professor Amar Gopal Bose founded the company in Natick, Massachusetts, after growing disillusioned with the poor performance of a high-end stereo system he purchased as a graduate student. Driven by a passion for replicating the immersive qualities of live music through rigorous acoustic research, Bose launched the venture with initial contracts for the U.S. military and NASA, emphasizing innovative speaker designs that prioritized indirect, reverberant sound over direct radiation. This American heritage, rooted in psychoacoustics and engineering excellence, has defined the brand's pursuit of "Better Sound Through Research."
Bose excels in consumer and professional audio categories, renowned for its home audio systems, premium speakers like the iconic 901 Series, and pioneering noise-canceling headphones first prototyped in the 1980s for pilots. The lineup extends to vehicle sound systems, portable Bluetooth speakers, and professional installations, but steers clear of niche hi-fi components such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, focusing instead on integrated, user-friendly solutions that blend advanced signal processing with spatial audio reproduction.
Positioned as a premium mid-tier powerhouse in the global market, Bose commands widespread appeal among discerning buyers seeking accessible high-performance audio without audiophile esoterica. Its reputation for innovation and reliability has built a loyal following, though purists occasionally critique its measured sound signature, cementing Bose as a dominant force in mainstream hi-fi rather than high-end boutique or vintage realms.
