Is this a fair buy, or are you paying rare-item money for a common deck? At US$737, this is well above the typical used market for Sony turntables in the listing set: it clears the 75th percentile of US$225 by a wide margin, so I’d call it ambitious unless this one is exceptionally clean, fully serviced, and genuinely hard to source.
The PS-3300 is a desirable vintage direct-drive table, and that’s the appeal: solid speed stability, a respectable platter/arm package, and the kind of old-Sony build that still attracts collectors. The upside here is rarity and the chance of getting an intact, working example with warranty support, but at this price I’d want proof of recent servicing, a healthy motor, and confirmed cueing/auto functions, since age-related issues matter more once you’re paying premium territory.
