De dali oberon 5 is een elegante en slanke vloerstaande luidspreker die een verrassend volwassen geluid combineert met een compact formaat. Dankzij dali’s kenmerkende houtvezelconussen, smc-technologi
Against the recent used-market anchor of €503 median and €486–€520 for the middle half of listings, €650 is clearly ambitious for this model. It’s not absurdly off, but it sits well above the usual asking band, so I’d want stronger-than-average presentation, provenance, or extras before calling it a buy.
That said, the design has a solid reputation for easy placement, lively dynamics, and a balanced, room-friendly sound that suits a wide range of systems. If the cabinets are clean, drivers are original, and the sale includes the grilles/spikes/boxes, it could still be worth pursuing for someone who wants a dependable floorstander and values condition over squeezing every last euro.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
DALI, or Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries, traces its roots to 1983, when Peter Lyngdorf founded the company in Denmark as the in-house speaker brand for his Hi-Fi Klubben retail chain, established three years earlier. Born in the back office of that operation, DALI quickly outgrew its origins, relocating to a dedicated factory in the small town of Nørager in 1986. There, it has since expanded fourfold, embodying Denmark's storied legacy in audio innovation—from the world's first electro-dynamic loudspeaker to a precise sonic balance that tempers robust bass with refined highs.
The brand's focus remains squarely on loudspeakers, offering nearly twenty lines spanning compact bookshelf models, floorstanders, soundbars, subwoofers, Atmos and in-wall systems, center channels, and wireless options, including portable Bluetooth variants. Each speaker is hand-assembled by a single craftsman, computer-calibrated for consistency, and often features DALI's proprietary wood-fiber cone material for a distinctive look and natural tonality. While production of entry-level models occurs at a Danish-managed facility in China, premium lines emerge from Nørager, upholding meticulous acoustic design under the Low Loss philosophy to minimize distortion.
DALI holds a commanding yet understated position as the world's second-largest cabinet speaker manufacturer, distributed in over 70 countries with undeniable audiophile credentials. Renowned for high-end performance like the MegaLine series, it spans accessible price points to premium tiers, blending Scandinavian design, reliability, and expressive dynamics. Though less heralded in North America, its global reputation among discerning buyers underscores versatile, installer-friendly excellence.
