This is a later-1980s Technics integrated amp, so timing mainly matters if you want a clean, classic Class AA piece rather than something from the modern era. At US$299, it’s well above the recent used market anchor: the median is US$125, with US$114 at the 25th percentile and US$141 at the 75th, so this asking price is clearly ambitious.
That said, the SU-V460 is a solid, respected everyday integrated with decent power, a good phono stage, and the kind of straightforward, musically capable presentation Technics got right in this period. If it’s truly original, quiet, and fully functional, the appeal is real—but at this price the seller needs to be offering something special such as exceptional condition, recent service, or a strong accessory package.
