At US$592, this is hard to justify versus the obvious alternative at this money: a newer DAC/transport setup or simply a better-spec used player, because the recent market for this model clusters much lower, with a median of US$293 and a 75th percentile of US$442. That puts the asking price well above the top of the normal used range, so this reads as ambitious rather than fair unless there’s unusually strong provenance or a bundle of extras.
That said, the CD-C600 has a good reputation as a sensible, workmanlike changer: stable playback, decent sound, and the convenience of a multi-disc deck without much fuss. If the unit is clean, fully functional, and comes with the remote and intact tray mechanism, it can still be a worthwhile buy for someone who values convenience and Yamaha reliability—but at this price, condition and completeness need to be excellent to make the case.
