Meridian 518 digital processor in great conditionWorks perfectly, no issues. Jsut maybe some minor scuffs, see pictures. Includes original manual. You can google for what this unit does, and how it might work for you in 2026. What I used it for was part of a vinyl recording/needledrop setup. As I don't think greater than 48k is necessary (this goes to 48k/24 bit), it was useful for this. I would set the left/right channel levels on the interfaces/ADC (note this is NOT an ADC or DAC for that matter), because cartridges can often have slight imbalances, and my ADC has separate analog level controls for each channel, then use the 518 to bring the signal up (or down I guess) for recording into audacity, depending on how hot the record is, I like to get as much signal as possible without clipping, for convenience. But also you can use the various noise shaping schemes and see if you find them beneficial, they are pretty subtle for this though.Moving soonish and will not be able to use this in the new location (different power grid...)Can also be used as a digital preamp in an all digital setup, but the rate limitation may preclude this these days, if you think 96k or higher is useful. Could be part of a vintage high end setup too.any questions let me know and thanks for looking.
This is a fair ask: at US$400, it sits right on the median of recent comparable used listings, so it’s priced about where a buyer would expect for this piece. It’s not a steal, but it’s also not ambitious, and for the right system that makes it a sensible buy rather than a gamble.
The appeal here is straightforward: Meridian’s digital processing gear is respected for clean, musical performance and system-building flexibility, especially if you value precision over flash. At this price, the upside is in condition, originality, and whether it comes ready to plug in and use; a well-kept example with no missing parts is the kind of listing worth moving on quickly.
