Seller's Description

Naim Audio NAP 200 Power Amplifier Fantastic amplifier by Naim I have always wanted to own Naim and I have loved it so much I want to go higher up. This system is very impressive and has no issues pushing any speakers I have thrown at them.  A very fun, punchy yet high quality experience.  This vintage of Naim works with any speaker cables and it is worth noting that with adapters you can run the pre and power with any other brand of equipment.  No original packaging but very easy and cheap to package appropriately and safely.  At asking price I will ship to Eastern majors. Demos and collectio

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

This is a buyer’s market, and at AUD $1,300 the ask is a bit above the current typical used range in AUD: the median is A$1,090, with the upper quartile at A$1,233. That puts this listing as ambitious rather than fair, unless it has something extra going for it.

The upside is that this is one of Naim’s better-regarded power amps: punchy, rhythmic, and very capable of making a modest system feel properly alive. If it’s genuinely clean, well cared for, and comes with the right packaging or service history, it can still be a strong buy for a Naim system-builder—but at this price, I’d want evidence of condition and provenance to justify the premium.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Naim Audio

Naim Audio, a cornerstone of British hi-fi excellence, traces its origins to 1973 when Julian Vereker, a self-taught engineer, racing driver, and music enthusiast, formally incorporated the company in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Vereker's journey began earlier, in 1969, experimenting with tape recording and sound-to-light boxes before designing his first power amplifier in 1971. Amid the British hi-fi industry's recession, he secured a pivotal contract with Capital Radio, blending entrepreneurial grit with a passion for authentic sound reproduction that challenged conventional wisdom.

The brand specializes in premium integrated amplifiers, power amplifiers, preamplifiers, digital streamers, DACs, and compact music systems, often featuring built-in amplification for streamlined setups. While not delving into speakers—beyond a historical foray—or headphones and turntables, Naim emphasizes modular, upgradable components that prioritize pace, rhythm, and timing (PRaT), a signature sonic philosophy rooted in the "source first" approach alongside contemporaries like Linn.

Naim holds a commanding position in the high-end market, revered by discerning audiophiles for its handmade, innovative systems that deliver emotional musical engagement over mere specifications. Now part of VerVent Audio Group following a 2011 merger with Focal, it exports to over 45 countries, sustaining a cult following for resilient, influential designs that transcend economic cycles.
