This collective structure reflected the centralized economy of the GDR, with no individual founder but a legacy tied to postwar industrial revival.
The brand's product focus centered on consumer and professional audio gear, including bookshelf speakers, full-range drivers, vacuum tubes, and communications electronics like radios and two-way systems. Iconic examples encompass 1970s RFT bookshelf speakers with Tesla-sourced drivers, 1950s EGB (RFT) units for high-sensitivity radio applications, and ECC83 preamp tubes widely used in European amps.
