It is not wildly out of line for a niche, well-kept automatic direct-drive Technics, but it is firmly above the middle of the market, so the price needs the condition and completeness to really earn it.
The appeal here is the Technics quartz DD automatic platform: smooth speed stability, low-maintenance direct drive, and the convenience of fully automatic operation make these easy to live with and very attractive to collectors. If it truly tests well, with a healthy arm lift, intact cueing, and no cosmetic or mechanical compromises, it can be a satisfying buy for someone who values set-and-forget vinyl use.
