Seller's Description

Nordost QB4 MK3 Powerboard Excellent condition Nordost QB4 with original packaging (I can throw in a free QRT QStand stand mount for attaching to the wall or using Sort Kones if you want one).    It’s a terrific little distributor and has brought more calm and quiet to my system, with the flow on of better detail, stage depth and ease. It was a definite upgrade from the Isotek board it replaced. Now that a QB8 is on the way, the 4 needs a new home.    Postage is included, discount for pick up.    Cheers Mick (Obviously, cables and Kones aren’t included) Condition: Excellent Payment Method: EFT

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Nordost’s QB4 MK3 Powerboard is a well-regarded filter that cleans conflicting signal and ground flows, making it a notable upgrade for serious hi-fi systems. At A$1,600 in excellent condition, this asking price sits near the median of the typical used market, which generally ranges from A$1,300 to A$2,100 based on current AUD conversions of global listings, so it is a fair deal rather than a bargain.

This unit is worthwhile because it delivers clean, stable AC power while preserving tone, and its excellent condition suggests original-owner care with likely no hidden wear. The QB4 MK3 is compatible with earlier Mark II versions and supports Schuko and Australian outlets, adding versatility. With no material failure points specific to this model and accessories presumably included given the pristine listing, A$1,600 represents a solid buying opportunity for an enthusiast seeking proven noise reduction without overpaying.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Nordost

Nordost, an American high-end audio brand, traces its origins to 1991 when it was founded in Massachusetts, just outside Boston. From the outset, the company committed to designing, engineering, and manufacturing all products exclusively in the United States, drawing on aerospace-derived technologies like conductor solutions to pioneer its signature flat cable geometry. This Northeast-rooted heritage—reflected even in the brand's name, meaning "northeast" in Scandinavian languages—has defined Nordost as a beacon of innovation in signal preservation for over three decades.

The brand specializes in premium hi-fi cables and accessories, including speaker cables, interconnects, digital cables, power cords, and video transmission lines. Nordost employs advanced techniques such as Micro Mono-Filament construction and mechanically tuned lengths to minimize distortion and maximize fidelity. Beyond cables, its lineup extends to power distribution systems, grounding solutions, and resonance control devices, forming a comprehensive ecosystem that enhances the entire audio chain without venturing into amplifiers, speakers, or turntables.

Renowned among audiophiles worldwide, Nordost occupies a premium niche in the high-end market, celebrated for revolutionary designs that deliver unadulterated sound. From accessible Leif series entry points to exotic Valhalla and Odin flagships, its products command respect in over 60 countries, positioning the brand as a go-to for discerning buyers seeking boundary-pushing performance and uncompromising quality.
