Condition is unknown, and at US$350 this lands well above the typical used market for this piece: it’s over the US$269 75th percentile and far above the US$202 median, so the asking price reads ambitious unless the seller can prove excellent provenance, fresh servicing, or notable extras.
That said, the Fono is a respected, easy-to-live-with phono stage that’s valued for clean gain, low noise, and a natural, unforced presentation. If it’s complete and genuinely well cared for, it can still be a worthwhile buy—but at this level the seller needs to justify the premium with specifics such as original packaging, receipt, or very light use; otherwise, better value is usually found closer to the US$160-US$269 band.

Rega Research, founded in 1973 in Essex, England, by Roy Gandy and Tony Relph, emerged from Gandy's lifelong passion for vinyl playback. A Ford engineer and music enthusiast, Gandy built his first turntable, the Planet, in his spare time, blending the founders' surnames to create the Rega name.
