Against the recent used market, US$492 lands well above the 75th percentile of US$434 for this model, so this is an ambitious ask rather than a bargain. It is still not absurd for a clean, collectible example, but it should be priced like a premium piece with strong cosmetics and working status, not a routine used-unit sale.
The NAD 2240PE is respected for its muscular, musical presentation and real-world drive, so buyers do have a reason to stretch for a nice one. That said, at this level the seller needs to justify the premium with exceptional condition, verified performance, and any useful extras; otherwise, a patient buyer can usually do better closer to the median.
