LAB REVIEW
Audio-Technica's AT-LP3XBT combines the convenience of automatic belt-drive operation with advanced features rarely found on turntables under $350. The AT-LP3X's fully automatic operation allows you to start and stop a record at the push of a button, with the balanced straight tonearm returning to the rest at the end of the record. The universal headshell comes pre-mounted with a AT-VM95C dual moving magnet cartridge (but can be swapped out to a cartridge of your choosing), and safely + precisely hits the grooves of your records via the hydraulically damped lift control. Output wirelessly to virtually any Bluetooth speakers or headphones of your choice with the LP3X's high-quality Qualcomm codec, or use in a traditional wired setup with RCA and ground cables - both are removable and easy to upgrade, an improvement from the previous model. Built-in switchable phono/line preamp lets you connect your turntable directly to your stereo system or powered speakers whether they have a dedicated phono input or not. In addition, the AT-LP3X's base is constructed of anti-vibration damping materials, while the resonance is reduced by the die-cast aluminum platter. Improvements from the AT-LP3 to the AT-LP3X include an external AC adapter, which means the AC/DC conversion occurs outside of the turntable chassis, reducing unwanted vibration. All of this works together to give you an excellent high fidelity listening experience. Comes complete with removable dustcover, power cord, and 45 adapter.

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

US$299 is a strong buy for this table, landing below the typical used market’s US$319–US$359 band and clearly under the US$339 median. That makes it more bargain than merely fair, especially if it’s clean and fully functional.

This model is popular for good reason: easy setup, built-in Bluetooth, and a relaxed, dependable AT-LP3 platform that suits someone who wants simple vinyl listening without a project deck. The real upside is getting a well-regarded automatic belt-drive turntable at a discount; just confirm the cartridge stylus, dust cover, and power supply are present, because those items matter more than cosmetic fuss at this price.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Audio-Technica

Founded in 1962 in Tokyo's Shinjuku district by Hideo Matsushita, Audio-Technica began as a phonograph cartridge specialist, launching the innovative AT-1 moving-magnet model with a diamond-tipped cantilever that revolutionized affordable high-fidelity playback.
