Savant is best understood as a premium home-automation and distributed-audio brand rather than a traditional hi-fi maker. It began as Savant Systems in the United States and is now closely tied to Artison, the speaker company founded by Cary Christie; Savant acquired Artison in 2017 and retained Christie as chief technology officer for audio.
