For a 2010s Denon SACD player like this, timing matters more as a “last of the solid mid-high-end disc machines” buy than a cutting-edge source. At €315 in excellent condition, it looks like a good deal and sits comfortably below the sort of €490–€690 asking prices this model still tends to command, so I’d call it fair-to-strong value rather than ambitious.
What makes it worthwhile is the Denon’s very clean, refined CD/SACD playback, good build, and the useful DAC inputs for a modern-ish system. It’s a well-regarded machine with a strong reputation for sound quality and features, and excellent condition helps a lot on a player of this age. Main check: make sure disc loading is smooth and the tray/lens are healthy, since long-term transport wear is the only real thing that can turn a good buy into a project.
