Seller's Description

Pro-Ject Xtension 10 Evolution Turntable and Tonearm Package Pro-Ject Xtension 10 Evolution turntable in mahogany gloss up for grabs. Even on Cyber Monday this turntable retails at $6999 so listed price is a steal! Note: cartridge is not included in the price or up for sale.   This turntable is a beast and served me well. Selling as I've moved to an idler drive.   Photographing the TT was difficult. The gloss finish reflects everything so it looks marked in some photos - it is in perfect unmarked condition except for a tiny mark on the right lower edge of the front (see 2nd last image) and a v

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

This one is a much older, high-end generation rather than a current-production buy, so the timing matters mostly if you want a big-format suspended/ultra-heavy deck and don’t mind living with an earlier flagship. Against your AUD comps, A$2,900 is far above the 75th percentile of A$752, so this is ambitious rather than fair market pricing.

That said, the model itself has real appeal: Pro-Ject’s big Xtension line is built for mass, isolation, and a more resolved, low-noise presentation, and the tonearm package adds to the value if it’s complete and set up properly. If it’s genuinely clean, includes the right arm and ancillary bits, and has been well cared for, it can be a serious performance buy — but at this number, I’d want proof of excellent condition, full accessories, and no setup or bearing issues before treating it as a sensible purchase.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Pro-Ject

Pro-Ject Audio Systems traces its roots to 1991 in Austria's Weinviertel region, north of Vienna, where founder Heinz Lichtenegger launched the brand amid the CD revolution. Kicked out of music school as a youth, Lichtenegger channeled his passion for analog sound into affordable, high-quality turntables at a time when vinyl seemed obsolete. His debut Pro-Ject 1, hand-assembled in the Czech Republic, earned rave reviews as a top high-end device, igniting a success story that relocated headquarters to Vienna before returning to Mistelbach in Lower Austria.

The brand excels in turntables, establishing itself as the world's largest and leading producer in that category, while expanding into a full spectrum of hi-fi components since 2000. Offerings include amplifiers, DACs, headphone amps, speakers, cables, and phono stages, all emphasizing essential sound reproduction with durable materials and minimalist design. Manufacturing remains European—primarily in Czechia, Slovakia, and Germany—prioritizing sustainability through local sourcing, short transport, and products built for longevity.

Pro-Ject holds a commanding niche as the go-to for mid-tier audiophiles seeking boutique European craftsmanship without extravagant pricing. Distributed in over 80 countries, it appeals to vinyl revivalists and discerning buyers who value analog purity, innovation, and value-driven performance over flashy excess, cementing its reputation as a pioneer in accessible high-fidelity.
