At US$3,000, the ask is on the firm side for a first-generation Naim CDS: the used market I can verify clusters much lower for older Naim CD players generally, while later CDS2/CDS3 examples often land around the low-to-mid US$1,000s to low US$3,000s depending on completeness and condition. On that basis, US$3,000 is only attractive if this one is unusually tidy, fully sorted, and includes the right extras.

If it’s original-owner, recently serviced, and comes with the remote, manual, and proper packaging, the premium is easier to justify.
