Meridian DSP 5500.3 for Sale. I boought these new and they are the last version of this model. I bought these these in December 2010 from a Meridian dealer and here are the reasons why they are the .3 version. The tweeters are the Black Dome version which are better than the previous version that were installed in the earlier versions. The Mid range driver is the a 6 hole clear PP driver as in the DSP7200. These were a serious high-end active design with a very high original price, and recent used examples suggest the model can land anywhere from roughly £1,000 to the low-£2,000s for ordinary pairs, with complete systems and nicer examples pushing higher; in that context, £3,500 for an excellent pair is on the strong side but still plausible if they’re fully working and complete.
