At €3,490, this is far above the recent used-market anchor for the model: the €1,016 median and even the €1,078 75th percentile, so the asking price looks very ambitious rather than a bargain. Even allowing for a clean example, this is priced well beyond what the current comparable EUR listings support, and it would need exceptional provenance or extras to make sense.
That said, the AVC-X4700H remains a strong all-round AV receiver: Denon’s X-series is well liked for solid amplification, good room correction, and flexible home-theater setup with serious bass-management chops. If the unit is genuinely pristine, with original packaging, remote, setup mic, and a full service history, it may appeal to someone chasing a specific unit, but value-wise this is only attractive if the seller is open to a major discount.
