Comparable recent asking prices I found sit around €50–€90 for rougher or incomplete examples, while the model’s original price was roughly €330, so €175 lands in the sensible middle for a desirable, working piece.
This is a well-regarded late-era portable Technics: slim, beautifully built, and genuinely collectible, with strong sound for its class and a design that still stands out. The upside is in originality and completeness—battery pack, charger, remote headphones, and the soft case add real value. Main thing to verify is that it reads discs quickly and reliably, since older portable CD players can have laser or internal-plastic issues if they’ve been heavily used.
