The Arcam Alpha 9 is a stereo integrated amplifier delivering 70 watts per channel into 8Ω, with a dual-mono architecture that gives each channel its own separate power supply fed by a toroidal transformer. The direct-coupled output stage keeps the signal path free of capacitors, which was a key design priority carried over from the Arcam Delta 290. Six line-level inputs are provided alongside an optional MM/MC phono stage, preamp outputs, tape outputs, and a headphone output - making it a versatile centrepiece for a traditional hi-fi setup.
