Ferrum OOR | Hörlursförstärkare

Ferrum Audio emerged from Poland's Warsaw region as a fresh entrant in the audiophile world, launched by parent company HEM under CEO Marcin Hamerla. Drawing inspiration from local ironworking heritage—where "Ferrum" means iron in Latin and nods to the area's metallurgic past and Hamerla's blacksmith father—the brand embodies Polish craftsmanship fused with high-end audio design. Locally engineered and manufactured, it represents years of accumulated expertise without a specific founding year disclosed, quickly gaining traction since its debut products.

The lineup centers on compact, high-performance desktop and head-fi electronics, spotlighting the HYPSOS power supply as its firstborn, followed by the OOR headphone amplifier, ERCO DAC/amp, and WANDLA DAC. These siblings excel standalone but pair synergistically, especially with HYPSOS, delivering exceptional musicality. Ferrum avoids speakers, turntables, or cables, focusing instead on DACs, amplifiers, and power solutions tailored for headphones and living-room setups.

Positioned as a niche boutique force in the high-end market, Ferrum has surprised the head-fi scene with its iron-clad builds, precise sonics, and value, conquering global dealers from its Polish roots. For discerning buyers seeking uncolored, dynamic audio without excess bulk, it stands as a confident, modern contender.
