That said, the LCD-X is still a serious planar workhorse: big, controlled bass, excellent resolution, and the sort of neutral-but-energetic presentation that makes it a reference tool as much as a listening headphone. If it’s clean, original-owner, and comes with the case and cables, it’s a worthwhile buy; if anything is missing or the pads are tired, I’d want a little room off the ask.
